Domestic Violence Training for Professionals

Domestic Violence Training for Professionals

Family Service Regina is the city’s most expert resource for victims services related to domestic and dating violence. Each year, we assist hundreds of people through crises and healing after relationship violence.

Eliminating violence is a community effort, and we are available to share information with professional and community groups. We regularly offer training to groups working in the area of policing, social services and health care. Additionally, we present to post-secondary classes and community groups.

Presentations are tailored for your group’s needs and may include topics such as:

  • Identifying Signs of Abuse
  • Dynamics of Abusive Relationships
  • Impact on the Victim
  • Effects on Children and Parenting
  • Trauma-Focused Intervention
  • Safety Planning
  • Stalking (Criminal Harassment)
  • Victims of Domestic Violence Act
  • Local Resources
  • Trends and Demographics
