At the heart of community care, the Library Outreach Workers play a pivotal role in addressing urgent needs for individuals facing mental health challenges, addiction, homelessness, and other barriers to accessing essential resources.

  • How do I find a Library Community Outreach worker?

    CENTRAL AND CHILDREN'S BRANCH


    Upon entering the Regina Public Library – Central and Children's Branch, turn left to access the Community Commons. This bright, welcoming space features chairs, tables, and large windows. The Library Outreach Crisis Workers have an office within the Commons. If they are not in their office, any library staff member can assist in locating them.

    Community Outreach Workers at the library provide a range of services to assist individuals in need. They can help with:


    • Navigating community resources and support in areas such as mental health and counselling, shelter and emergency needs, housing, employment, food, income support, clothing, identification, addictions, and newcomer supports
    • Assisting with completing forms and applications for housing, income support, and other essential services
    • Providing crisis intervention services directly at the library
    • Offering brief counselling services to support your immediate needs
